PLO official: We must “face the Israeli claims that Jerusalem is a Jewish city”

“PLO Executive Committee member Hanna Amira… explained that the unified position of the churches in Palestine strengthens the Palestinian positions at a political level, as well as the Palestinian position in the occupied city of Jerusalem, which is subject to different kinds of Israeli steps aimed against Palestinian presence, both Islamic and Christian [in the city]. In addition, he stressed that the current situation requires unity to face the Israeli claims that Jerusalem is a Jewish city.”
