PLO Executive Committee member: Israel built a "gigantic synagogue" under Al-Aqsa Mosque's foundation

In addition, the head of the Department for Jerusalem Affairs rejected the criminal actions being perpetrated by the Israeli occupation authorities, which contradict all norms and international conventions: the ongoing excavations beneath the foundations of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. He emphasized that these excavations, deep underground, which target the foundations of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, have been going on non-stop for years, to the point that a gigantic synagogue has been built beneath the Mosque.”
