Abbas’ advisor: Israel creates “artificial Jewish heritage” in Jerusalem

“The advisor on Jerusalem Affairs to the [Palestinian] President's [Abbas’] Office, attorney Ahmed Al-Ruweidi, emphasized that Jerusalem is in need of an emergency rescue plan to enable its people and institutions to stand firm, to protect the Palestinian sector’s development and demographic growth, which Israel has been trying to reduce by restricting Arab and Palestinian existence in the city, strengthening the Jewish presence… and by attempting to create an artificial Jewish heritage at the expense of the city’s [original] identity. Al-Ruweidi made this statement yesterday [May 7, 2014] during his meeting with several [representatives of] international institutions active in the Holy City.”
