Proposed bill allowing Jews to pray on Temple Mount is part of “scheme” to “destroy” Al-Aqsa and build the “alleged Temple”

“[During its weekly meeting] the [PA] government warned of the Israeli Parliament’s decision to vote on a bill to divide the Al-Aqsa Mosque according to areas and times, by equating the Jews’ right to worship in the Noble Sanctuary (i.e., the Temple Mount) to that of the Muslims and assigning fixed areas and times for prayers and religious ceremonies. This bill bars the Palestinians from demonstrating and protesting against [the division] by employing [the threat of] punishment. If it passes in the Israeli Parliament and is ratified, the Al-Aqsa Mosque will enter a new phase of Judaization, more dangerous than previous ones. [This] will pave the way for strengthening [Israeli] control over it and for realizing the scheme to destroy it and construct the ‘alleged Temple’ in its place.”

Note: The physical division and division according to time refers to a proposed law (May 2013) being reviewed in Israeli Parliament that would allow for both Jews and Muslims to pray on the Temple Mount. The law seeks to implement separate prayer times for Muslims and Jews at the site.
