PA Ministry of Religion refers to the “false and alleged Temple” and claims Jewish connection to Western Wall completely fabricated
Headline: “The occupation gathers all its political and media forces in order to Judaize the Al-Buraq Wall”
“The [PA] Ministry of Religious Affairs stated in a report by the Public Relations and Communication [Department] today [Aug. 25, 2015], Tuesday, that the Israeli occupation is gathering all its forces, political and media, and using force, deception, and fraud, in order to Judaize Jerusalem, all of its parts, whether the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its plaza, graveyards, the Al-Buraq Wall (i.e., the Western Wall of the Temple Mount), or any other heritage or site…
The report states that ‘after the Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration), Jewish Zionist announcements appeared in Western press calling for the establishment of their false and alleged Temple, until it reached the point that in 1928 the Jews placed a divider that separated men and women in front of the Al-Buraq Wall, and blew their shofars (i.e., rams’ horns used in Jewish religious ceremonies) there. After the war of June 1967 and the Israeli occupation of East Jerusalem, the first step of aggression was the Judaization of the Al-Buraq Wall and the expansion of its main plaza. This was done by destroying the Mughrabi neighborhood, which was in front of the Wall, and the [stating of the] claim in the media that the Al-Buraq Wall, which is the western wall of the Noble Sanctuary (i.e., the Temple Mount), was part of the remnants of the alleged Solomon’s Temple.’
Likewise, the Ministry added that the Israeli occupation invents new ways to Judaize Islamic sites and holy sites in Jerusalem and around the Al-Aqsa Mosque, as recently the number of instances of what are called ‘aliyot’ (the reading of a segment from the Torah during Jewish prayers and ceremonies. –Ed.) at the Al-Buraq Wall, offered for free to Jewish youths, have increased.”
Note: The Balfour Declaration of Nov. 2, 1917 was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Baron Rothschild stating that “His Majesty's government views with favor, the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people” and is seen as the basis for later international commitments to establish the State of Israel.
