Abbas in letter: Jesus was a Palestinian
PA TV program Palestine This Morning interviewed Father Raed Abu Sahliya about the meaning of Christmas.
Father Raed Abu Sahliya: “First of all, I want to thank his Excellency, President Mahmoud Abbas for his letter, which was published yesterday [Dec. 23, 2013]. The letter is truly beautiful and comprehensive and I think the person who wrote it – if he [Abbas] didn’t write it himself – specializes in writing Christmas letters. Each of its paragraphs has a specific topic and one of the topics is that Jesus was a Palestinian and that the Christian faith started specifically in Bethlehem and spread to the rest of the world.”
