EU donates 19 million Euros towards PA salaries for May 2013

“Yesterday [June 5, 2013], the European Union contributed approximately €19.2 million to pay [PA] salaries and pensions for the month of May to almost 75,000 Palestinian civil servants and pensioners in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
According to an announcement published by the EU, this contribution is channeled through the European Commission’s PEGASE mechanism which is funded by the European Commission (approximately €12.5 million) the Government of Denmark (€4.7 million) and the Government of Finland (€2 million.)”
