“The Qalqilya branch of the [Fatah] Shabiba Student Movement and the administration of the Al-Shaimaa High School for Girls in Qalqilya organized a protest vigil inside a solidarity tent at the UNRWA (UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) hospital against the closing of the hospital, and against the steps that UNRWA is taking to reduce the services that are presented to the refugees. During the protest vigil a lecture was given, in which District Governor of Qalqilya [Rafe’ Rawajbeh’s] Advisor Marwan Khader spoke… He noted that the UNRWA services are the right of the Palestinian people, and that they do not constitute a kindness or gift from anyone. He added that the right of return of all of the refugees is a holy right that has no statute of limitations. Coordinator of the Shabiba Student Movement in the Qalqilya District Abu Saed Qawas emphasized that the activities of the Shabiba Student [Movement] are continuing until UNRWA takes back its decision on everything related to the reduction of services.”
