Martyr’s death glorified as a wedding, in rap song on PA TV
PA TV program Good Morning Jerusalem hosted three young rappers. One of them rapped about being prepared to die a Martyr (Shahid) for Jerusalem and about death as sacrifice being the most beautiful death.
Youth on PA TV: “I thank God for creating me a Palestinian Jerusalemite.
The Friday prayer in [the] Al-Aqsa [Mosque] strengthens me.
They won’t keep me away from you [Al-Aqsa], even if they beat me or kill me.
I will die a Martyr (Shahid) and the whole world will escort me [to my wedding] (i.e., wedding to the virgins in Heaven).
Far away from the dreams, far away from the distortion
The most beautiful death is [to die] as a sacrifice.
Jerusalem, the Dome of the Rock [Mosque] is our dome and Al-Aqsa is our Al-Aqsa.”
Note: According to Islamic belief, the Martyr (Shahid) marries 72 Dark-Eyed Virgins in Paradise.
