Fatah and Jenin governor celebrate arch-terrorist Abu Jihad for his "virtues" and call him "one of the giants and heroes who wrote the epics of heroism"

“Fatah’s Jenin branch marked the anniversary of the death as a Martyr of Khalil al-Wazir ‘Abu Jihad’ yesterday [April 21, 2016] under the auspices of President Mahmoud Abbas. Jenin District Deputy Governor Kamal Abu Al-Rub mentioned the virtues of the Prince of Martyrs in his speech and added: ‘We emphasize what the president [Abbas] said, that we continue to be loyal to the path of the great Martyrs and the prisoners until victory and the achievement of absolute independence.’ He continued: ‘We mark the anniversary [of the death of] Abu Jihad, one of the giants and heroes who wrote the epics of heroism, and on the anniversary of his death as a Martyr we commemorate the thousands of fighters and prisoners who sacrificed for their homeland.’… Fatah’s [Jenin] branch Secretary Jamal Jaradat emphasized that Martyr Abu Jihad played an important prominent and historical role in leading the modern Palestinian revolution. He said: ‘The Martyrs and prisoners are the heart of the people, the symbol of resolve, creators of the value of sacrifice, and loyal soldiers deserving of our loyalty and that we stand beside them until their release.’ … The rally, emceed by Ahed Bazour, included sections of national song, a song eulogizing Martyr Abu Jihad, presented by Ahed Sha'aban, and a song to Palestine, Martyr Abu Jihad, and Yasser Arafat, performed by the girl, Sadil Ammour.”
Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir) was a founder of Fatah and deputy to Yasser Arafat. He headed the PLO terror organization's military wing and also planned many deadly Fatah terror attacks. These attacks, which killed a total of 125 Israelis, included the most lethal in Israeli history - the hijacking of a bus and killing of 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
