Palestinian independent website accuses Abbas for “renouncing” Palestinian claims to Al-Burqa Wall [Western Wall]

"[PA President] Mahmoud Abbas is continuing his tyrannical policy against anyone who opposes his destructive policy that has mired the Palestinian cause in mud. This is so, as a senior official in the Muqata’a (i.e., the PA's presidential headquarters) in Ramallah emphasized that [Supreme Shari’ah Judge and Mahmoud Abbas’ advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs] Mahmoud Al-Habbash will soon leave his position as the president’s advisor on religious affairs, after he diverged from Abbas’ formula for the Al-Buraq Wall (i.e., the Western Wall of the Temple Mount) which [Abbas] has considered part of the Israeli sovereignty.
The holiday sermon given by Supreme Shari’ah Judge and President Mahmoud Abbas’ advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs Mahmoud Al-Habbash at the presidential mosque today, Sunday [June 25, 2017], in the presence of President Abbas, [PA] Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, and others, was not published later in the media, despite having been broadcast on the official radio and TV. After checking, sources noted that the sermon was not published because Al-Habbash again emphasized his position on the Al-Buraq Wall by saying: 'The Al-Buraq Wall is part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and part of our people’s continuity and survival . We will not agree to [Israeli] sovereignty over Jerusalem, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the Al-Buraq Wall, and will continue to gather strength until we get it back and raise our flag above it.'
This position completely contradicts the position of President Abbas and the Fatah Central Committee, who have begun to talk about the 'Wailing Wall' as a place that is holy to the Jews instead of the 'Al-Buraq Wall' that constitutes a part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The crisis was not created at that moment, as this is the third consecutive Friday that the Friday sermon regularly given in the Al-Muqata Mosque – 'Mahmoud Abbas' fortress' – by Supreme Shari’ah Judge and President Abbas’ advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs Mahmoud Al-Habbash is missing [from the media].
Informed sources in Ramallah said that Abbas was angry and poured out his anger on Mahmoud Al-Habbash after the Friday sermon he gave on June 9, 2017, which was dedicated to the Al-Buraq Wall and its status among the Muslims, [in which he said] it is forbidden for anyone to dare to renounce it as it is one of Islam's holiest sites."
The Al-Buraq Wall - Islam's Prophet Muhammad is said to have rode during his Night Journey from Mecca to "al aqsa mosque", i.e., "the farthest mosque" (Quran, Sura 17), and there tied his miraculous flying steed named Al-Buraq to a "stone" or a "rock." (Jami` at-Tirmidhi, Book 47, Hadith 3424). In the 1920's, Arab Mufti Haj Amin Al-Husseini decided to identify the Western Wall of the Temple in Jerusalem as that "rock" or "stone," and since then Muslims refer to the Western Wall as the "Al-Buraq Wall."
