Fatah run Awdah TV broadcast speech by Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee, and Head of the Supreme Council for Sport and Youth Affairs Jibril Rajoub on Palestinian Martyrs’ Day
Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee and Head of the Supreme Council for Sport and Youth Affairs Jibril Rajoub
: “We began, we fought, we led the political and diplomatic activity – but the resistance was and still is the genetic code of all Fatah members… I say to the Israelis first of all: You sons of bitches, we will not accept less than a Palestinian state. We are the owners of the land, and we are the residents of the land and you are strangers in the land… Our relations with the occupation need to be first of all on a basis of clashes – until a Palestinian state is established. And do not believe in [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu, he is a liar and a scoundrel, but he’s a Fascist and represents the new Nazism…
Read the history – every chapter of the chapters of the revolution, beginning with the eternal leader Yasser Arafat until the last [Palestinian] who fell as a Martyr (Shahid) two days ago (i.e., terrorist Ahmad Younes Kawazbeh) – and you will find that this man (i.e., who carried out a stabbing attack against Israelis) – if he did not have complete faith in the righteousness of our cause – than he would not be willing – with a knife, and even at times with a knife that cannot kill – then he would not be ready to attack an [Israeli] soldier with this knife. He attacked him with determination that contains belief in the righteousness [of the cause] and readiness to die for the cause. And from here we say to the 145 Martyrs (Palestinians killed during the 2015-2016 terror wave, most during terror attacks –Ed.) – you are heroes and we bless you and strengthen your families, and say to you: You are a crown on our heads, until the Hour [of Resurrection] comes. And Allah will lengthen the lives of your family members, on the principle that Allah will honor them through you, so that they will see the establishment of the Palestinian state, which is our hope and aspiration.
We also bless, brothers, the Palestinian Liberation Front, the group of Abu Al-Abbas, who was an excellent national Palestinian leader, and I say: Allah will have mercy on Abu Al-Abbas, and Allah willing his group will march in his authentic path and not be scoundrels like the other factions, which have no God or color (i.e, are nationally and religiously indiscriminate, not differentiating between any sides).”

Ahmad Younes Kawazbeh – 18-year-old Palestinian terrorist who stabbed and injured an Israeli reserve soldier at the Gush Etzion junction on Jan. 5, 2016. Kawazbeh was shot and killed by soldiers.

Abu Al-Abbas headed the terror organization Palestinian Liberation Front. He planned the hijacking of an Italian cruise ship in 1985, in which one Jewish wheelchair bound passenger, Leon Klinghoffer, was singled out and murdered by being shot and thrown overboard, in his wheelchair.

Palestinian terror wave (2015-2016) – Several months of Palestinian violence and terror attacks against Israelis, ‎including stabbings, shootings, throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails, and car rammings. The wave was at its height from October 2015 through March 2016, but one man was killed in September 2015 and sporadic attacks continued after March 2016, including a bus bombing in Jerusalem on April 19, 2016. During the terror wave, Palestinian terrorists murdered 34 people (30 Israelis, 1 Palestinian, 2 Americans, and 1 foreign worker from Eritrea) and injured 400.
