Rally under auspices of Abbas honors terrorists, promotes violence for children
Palestine Live TV broadcast the “Knights of Freedom” rally held in honor of released terrorists from Jenin: Hazza Al-Sa’adi, Muhammad Al-Sabbagh, Muhammad Turkeman, Osama Abu Hananeh, Ahmad Abd Al-Aziz and Othman Bani Hassan (see descriptions below).
A large sign announced that the event was held under the auspices of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.
During the event, a singer sang songs praising the prisoners, including “Mother, marry me off,” which promotes educating children to carry weapons, while the audience danced and lifted the released prisoners up on their shoulders:

Host of the event: “Now, we call on Azzam Al-Ahmad - Abu Nidaa - member of the Fatah Movement’s Central Committee, to deliver the President [Abbas]’ speech, we will now all salute His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas, Abu Mazen.”
Fatah Central Committee member Azzam Al-Ahmad: “Mothers and families of our brave prisoners, brothers and sisters, ladies and gentlemen, I send you President Mahmoud Abbas’ greetings in this celebration of the release of a new group of our heroes, our brave prisoners, who have been a new example of endurance, resolve and giving, and who taught how to sacrifice … We say to Marwan [Barghouti] and to Ahmad Sa’adat and to our thousands of prisoners: Be assured that we will celebrate [your release] shortly. There are no life sentences under any circumstances. Our revolution that has been described as the revolution of the impossible, yes, it is the longest revolution in history. We do not know despair, true, we are taking a circuitous route but we will achieve our goals. We struggle, negotiate, fight – the popular resistance is escalating and expanding, and we choose the forms of struggle according to the existing conditions.”
Host of the event: “The Fatah movement ignited the revolution; it invented, renewed and entered it in new ways and forms which the world was not familiar with beforehand. And still, even today and tomorrow, it struggles until the holy of holies (i.e., Jerusalem) is liberated and it still gives Martyr (Shahid) after Martyr, prisoner after prisoner, wounded after wounded. Yes, this is the Fatah movement. Yasser Arafat’s Fatah, Khalil Al-Wazir’s (Abu Jihad) Fatah, Salah Khalaf’s Fatah, Saad Sayel’s Fatah, Dalal Mughrabi’s Fatah, the Fatah that belongs to all the Martyrs, wounded and prisoners…”
Minister of Prisoners’ Affairs Issa Karake delivers a speech on behalf of the Ministry of Prisoners’ Affairs, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club and prisoner-related organizations.
Minister of Prisoners’ Affairs Issa Karake: “The Europeans want their money that comes to us to remain clean – not to go to families of those they claim to be ‘terrorists.’ There are those who need to renounce this occupation (Israeli) way of thinking. These [prisoners] are heroes, fedayyeen (self-sacrificing fighter, prepared to die for a cause) and fighters who fought so that we could live in dignity… These heroes, whom you are applauding, must live in dignity, so that we will continue to hold our heads high. We appreciate the people of the revolution and are proud of them. No matter what we do for them – we will not [be able to] give them what they deserve.”
Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories Muhammad Hussein: “Oh, people from all districts of the homeland, from the cities, villages, and refugee camps of beloved Palestine, dear Palestine, from its [Jordan] River to its [Mediterranean] Sea. My beloved ones, I bless you all with the blessing of freedom, the blessing of honor…
Yes brothers and sisters. This is the hour when everyone rejoices, when we see our brothers who are dear to our hearts, dear to all our people, breathing the air of freedom. Congratulations, oh free men, praise Allah you are safe and sound, Jihad fighters, praise Allah Palestine is still proud thanks to your Jihad, your sacrifice and the sacrifice of many stars from among the Martyrs and the free men, for whom we all hope and pray that the salvation will arrive soon, Allah willing. Beloved ones, released prisoners, Jihad fighters, sons of dear Palestine, this is the hour of happiness, the hour of hope, the hour of your joy, your families’, your people’s, all the free men in this worlds’ [joy]…”
The host of the event invites the officials, including PA Chairman Abbas’ representative Azzam Ahmad to distribute the plaques of honor to each released terrorist.

Ahmad Sa’adat - serving a 30-year sentence for heading the PFLP terror organization. A song at a PFLP event also praised him for planning the assassination of Israeli Minister of Tourism Rehavam Ze'evi in 2001, but he has not been tried for this crime.
Marwan Barghouti - serving five life sentences for orchestrating terror attacks against Israeli civilians. When arrested in 2002, he headed Fatah's military wing, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades. After he was convicted and imprisoned, he was re-elected member of the Palestinian Authority parliament.
Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir) was a founder of Fatah and deputy to Yasser Arafat. He headed the PLO terror organization's military wing and planned many deadly Fatah terror attacks, including the most lethal in Israeli history, the hijacking of a bus and killing of 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
Dalal Mughrabi led the most lethal terror attack in Israel's history in 1978, when she and other terrorists hijacked a bus and killed 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
Saad Sayel - Senior Fatah commander. He led the PLO forces that were based in Lebanon during the early 1980s.
