Fatah prisoners’ official praises “heroic” suicide bombers and terrorists

Headline: “Al-Wahidi: The fact that the occupation is holding the Martyrs’ bodies is a war crime”
“Spokesman for the Fatah Movement Commission for Prisoners and Released Prisoners in the Gaza Strip, Fatah representative in the [Palestinian] National and Islamic Forces’ Prisoner Conference, and member of the national campaign to return the Martyrs’ (Shahids’) bodies and uncover the fates of the missing Palestinians and Arabs Nashat Al-Wahidi condemned the fact that the Israeli occupation is holding the Martyrs’ and Arabs’ bodies in the numbered cemeteries (i.e., Israeli cemeteries for terrorists and enemy soldiers)…
He explained that the process of taking and testing DNA from the body of heroic Martyr Anwar Muhammad Attiyah Sukkar (i.e., suicide bomber, took part in double bombing in which 22 were murdered) - who was born in the Shuja'iya neighborhood on Dec. 10, 1972, originally came from the village of Beit Jirja, and carried out a heroic self-sacrificing operation in Beit Lid with his brother and friend Martyr Salah Abd Al-Hamid Shaker on a Sunday morning, Jan. 22, 1995, which led to the death of more than 20 Israeli soldiers and the wounding of dozens; along with the process of testing the DNA taken from the body of female Martyr Hanadi Jaradat (i.e., suicide bomber, murdered 21) from Jenin - who carried out a heroic self-sacrificing operation on Oct. 4, 2003, in a restaurant in Haifa in northern Palestine (sic., Haifa is an Israeli city –Ed.) that led to the death of 19 Israelis (sic., 21), [DNA tests] which were carried out under the guarantee of the International Committee of the Red Cross on July 30, 2017, are a product of the Palestinian resistance, patience, and one of the beautiful aspects of the Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Intifada (i.e., PA terror campaign 2000-2005), and not an act of mercy or a gesture of good will by the Israeli occupation…
He noted that the Israeli occupation is still holding the body of Martyr Dalal Sa’id Mughrabi (i.e., terrorist who led murder of 37, 12 of them children) since March 11, 1978; the bodies of the Martyrs who carried out the heroic Dimona operation (i.e., terror attack, 3 murdered) in the Negev on March 7, 1988 - Muhammad Abd Al-Qader Issa, Muhammad Khalil Al-Khanafi, and Abdallah Al-Majid Kallab; …and the Martyrs of the Shattering Illusion operation (i.e., the kidnapping of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit) - Muhammad Azmi Farwaneh and Hamed Musa Al-Rantisi, who died on June 25, 2006; alongside heroic Martyrs Nabil Ibrahim Mas’oud and Mahmoud Zuheir Salem (i.e., suicide bombers, murdered 10) who died in the quality operation in the Ashdod port on March 14, 2004.”

The Cemeteries for Enemy Casualties are two burial sites maintained by the Israeli army for burying the bodies of enemy soldiers as well as terrorists. They are fenced and well-marked. Graves have markers instead of gravestones. Burial is temporary, on the assumption that the bodies will eventually be returned to their countries of origin. No ceremony is held. The bodies are buried in numbered caskets after their identities are documented.

Abd Al-Halim Sakeb Omar Al-Balbisi – Palestinian terrorist who planned the double suicide bombing on January 22, 1995, at the Bet Lid Junction, near Netanya, in which 21 Israeli soldiers and 1 Israeli civilian were murdered. Muhammad Abd Al-Qader Muhammad Issa – with accomplices Muhammad Khalil Saleh Al-Khanafi and Abdallah Abd Al-Majid Muhammad Kallab he hijacked a bus carrying workers to the Negev Nuclear Research Center in Dimona (March 7, 1988), and murdered 3 of its passengers – Miriam Ben-Yair, Rina Shiratky and Victor Ram. The attack is referred to as the Mothers' Bus attack because many of the passengers were working mothers. The terrorists were all killed by an Israel Police counter-terrorism unit that stormed the bus.

Gilad Shalit was an Israeli soldier who was kidnapped and held hostage by Hamas for more than 5 years. During that time, he was denied visits from the International Committee of the Red Cross and was not allowed communication with his family, in violation of his rights under the Geneva Convention.
