Fatah official: Hamas rockets do not constitute terrorism, Israel's response is an attempt to break Fatah-Hamas unity

‎“Abd‎ Al-Rahman Hamad, a member of ‎Fatah’s Leadership Committee in the ‎southern districts (i.e., Gaza) said that ‎resisting the occupation is a legitimate ‎right guaranteed by all international ‎conventions. He also noted that ‎exercising this right does not constitute ‎terrorism, as the occupation is trying to ‎make it seem, but rather, resistance and ‎struggle in defense of the land.”‎

Note: This article was published during the 2014 Gaza war as Hamas was firing hundreds of rockets at Israel and as Israel was responding with Operation Protective Edge, which aimed at destroying Hamas' terror infrastructure and ability to launch rockets at Israel.
