PA official: Israel changing Temple Mount status quo with placement of metal detectors; “more dangerous” than attack by “Jewish extremist” on Al-Aqsa Mosque

Headline: "Tayseer Khaled: Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque are the main concern of the leaders of the Arab and Islamic states"

"PLO Executive Committee member and Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) political bureau member Tayseer Khaled called on the Arab and Islamic governments to act to curb the dangers threatening Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque now when it is clear that the government of Israel is using the events of last Friday in the area of the mosque and its plazas (i.e., terror attack on July 14, 2017, 2 Israelis were murdered; see note below –Ed.) as an opening to change the status quo step by step, from letting worshippers pass through metal detectors, to the division of one of the holiest sites in the eyes of Arabs and Muslims according to areas and times (i.e., separate prayer times for Muslims and Jews).
He noted that what is happening at this time at the Al-Aqsa Mosque is much more dangerous than what has happened through all the years of the occupation, including the fire that broke out at the mosque after Jewish extremist Dennis Michael (sic., Michael Dennis Rohan, an Australian Christian; see note below) ignited a fire in its western wing on Aug. 21, 1969."

Muhammad Ahmad Muhammad Jabarin, Muhammad Hamed Abd Al-Latif Jabarin, and Muhammad Ahmad Mufaddal Jabarin - Israeli Arab terrorists aged 29, 19, and 19, who shot from the Temple Mount at Israeli policemen, murdering 2 Israeli Druze border policemen - Haiel Stawi and Kamil Shnaan, on July 14, 2017. Two of the terrorists were shot and killed by other policemen during the attack. The third terrorist was shot and killed while trying to flee.

"Division according to areas and times" refers to a proposed law (May 2013) being reviewed in Israeli Parliament that would allow for both Jews and Muslims to pray on the Temple Mount, what the Palestinians call the Al-Aqsa Mosque plaza. The law seeks to designate separate prayer times and areas of the site for Muslims and Jews.
However, Israeli PM Netanyahu has stated on many occasions that the Israeli government has no intention of ‎changing the status quo on the Temple Mount, which means Jews are allowed to enter the Temple Mount, but cannot pray there or engage in any type of worship.

Michael Rohan - deranged Australian Christian who set fire to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in 1969. For years, the Palestinian Authority has falsely accused Israel of setting the fire.
