Posted text: “The 48th anniversary of the arson of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
On Aug. 21, [1969,] a large fire broke out in the eastern wing of the Southern Mosque (i.e., the Al-Aqsa Mosque itself), which is on the southern side of the Al-Aqsa Mosque [plaza]…
Israel caught perpetrator [Michael Rohan], claimed that he was insane, and deported him to Australia. He lived there until 1995, when it was claimed that he passed away. During the period when he received psychiatric therapy and until his death, several [sources] confirmed that he was not mentally ill at all, or something like that…
Israel also stopped the water to the area around the mosque exactly on the day of the arson (sic., there is no evidence for this claim), and the Jerusalem Municipality firefighting trucks were intentionally late in arriving so as not to participate in putting out the fire (sic., Israeli firefighters arrived within minutes but rioting Muslims interfered with their work and broke the only fire hydrant at the site). However, the Arab firefighting trucks from Hebron and Ramallah arrived before them (sic) and helped to put out the fire.”
