Abbas sends "salutations" to released terrorists: "This people will not forget its heroes"

Official PA TV News broadcast a ceremony organized by the Ramallah and Jerusalem Districts and the PA Ministry of Prisoners’ Affairs in honor of the four prisoners released in the third phase of prisoner releases.

District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh Laila Ghannam: “Allow me to convey to you the salutations of President Mahmoud Abbas, who welcomed the group of our beloved prisoners in the early hours of the morning, to tell them and their families that this people will not forget its heroes and will remain loyal until the last prisoner is released.”

Ramadan Yaqub
participated in the murder of Sarah Sharon who was stabbed to death in Holon on Jan. 20, 1993. Yaqub was serving a life sentence but was released in December 2013 as one of 104 terrorists whom Israel agreed to release to fulfill the PA's precondition for renewing negotiations.
Ahmad Shehadeh was arrested in 1985 for murdering Yussuf Farhan. He was serving a life sentence, but his sentence was later commuted to 45 years in prison. He was released in December 2013 as one of 104 terrorists whom Israel agreed to release to fulfill the PA's precondition for renewing negotiations.
