Fatah Blames Israel For West Bank Terror Attack

On a post from the Official Fatah Facebook page on Sunday, Palestinian Media Watch reported that the official called the murder of the two Israelis an "act."

A senior Fatah official blamed Israel for the attack on Sunday in the West Bank, adding that no Israeli is safe "as long as our people remain deprived of rights in their homeland."

The attack which killed two Israelis and wounded a third, took place at the Barkan industrial zone, a major source of employment for Palestinians and often seen as an area of coexistence.

On a post from the official Fatah Facebook page on Sunday, Palestinian Media Watch reported that the official called the murder of the two Israelis an "act."

Last week, on their homepage, Fatah also published a post glorifying Mohand Halabi, the Palestinian who stabbed two people in the Old City in Jerusalem in 2015, calling him "the heroic martyr."

The fact that Fatah did not condemn the act was no surprise, since both Fatah and the Palestinian Authority glorify Palestinians who perpetuate terror attacks, portraying them as heroes, Palestinian Media Watch reported.

In Gaza, Hamas also portrayed the murder of the two Israelis as an "act of heroism," and "the natural response to the occupiers." The terrorist organization Islamic Jihad in Palestine added that "settlers are the legitimate targets for those opposing occupation," inciting further violence.
