PBC Chairman denies anti-Israel incitement on PA TV
Official PA TV News interviewed Chairman of the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation’s Board of Trustees Riyad Al-Hassan, on his refutation of the accusations levelled at him by Israeli Member of Parliament Danny Danon regarding incitement on Palestinian TV.
Chairman of the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation’s Board of Trustees Riyad Al-Hassan: “[Israeli Member of Parliament Danny] Danon’s statements are not worthy of response. The statements are foolish and the [person] who made them is even more foolish. Palestine TV implements a balanced, moderate, professional and objective policy. The language we use on television - whether in the news, in reports or on programs - is moderate and restrained. It focuses only on exposing the facts and the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people. Neither we nor our European partners, nor even those who follow [our broadcasts] on the American side, have detected any incitement within the Palestinian discourse - whether the formal or the media discourse - adopted by the Broadcasting Corporation.”
