Palestinian Journalists' Syndicate condemns interview with Israeli Defense Minister as "unacceptable normalization with the occupation"

Headline: “Journalists’ Syndicate condemns the interview conducted by the Al-Quds newspaper with Liberman”
“The [Palestinian] Journalists’ Syndicate strongly condemned the fact that the Al-Quds newspaper that is published in Jerusalem held an interview with the occupation’s Army Minister (i.e., Israeli Defense Minister) Avigdor Liberman, and published it in yesterday’s edition [Oct. 24, 2016]. The syndicate said in a statement that it published yesterday, and which [the official PA news agency] WAFA received a copy of, that conducting the interview is in and of itself an unacceptable normalization with the occupation, and what is more – an alignment with it.
It again emphasized its firm opposition to all types of normalization with the occupation, including media normalization.”

Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman gave an interview to the Palestinian newspaper Al-Quds on Oct. 24, 2016, in which he promised to build a port and airport in Gaza if Hamas stops rearming and attacking Israel, and said he supports the two-state solution.
