Senior PLO official lays wreath on grave of terrorist bomber

“Director of [PLO] Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs Issa Karake, together with released prisoners Rizq Salah, Ibrahim Al-Zir, Nasser Mahadiya, Hassan Abd Rabbo, and Ibrahim Najajreh , and Fatah Movement Secretary in Dura in Hebron Yasser Doudin, laid a wreath of flowers on the grave of prisoner Martyr (Shahid) Na’im Al-Shawamreh at his birthplace Dura, after a visit to the Martyr’s family for Eid Al-Adha (i.e., Muslim “Sacrifice Feast” holiday).
Prisoner Na’im Al-Shawamreh fell as a Martyr on Aug. 16, 2016, after he served 27 years in prison and fell ill with muscular dystrophy.”

Na’im Al-Shawamreh was sentenced to life in prison for planting a bomb that killed Israeli policeman Yossi Hayoun in 1993. He became sick with muscular dystrophy in prison and was released in December 2013 as one of the 104 terrorists Israel agreed to release to fulfill the PA's precondition for renewing negotiations. He died on Aug. 16, 2016.
