“Director of PLO Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs and [PA Parliament Member] Issa Karake stated that the Israeli occupation is the main and only reason for violence in the region, and that its daily actions, including killing, arrests, demolition of homes, and the tightening of the noose around the people’s necks, along with targeting Palestinian children in a racist, criminal, and legalized (by Israel –Ed.) manner, have made people lose hope for a future arrangement [with Israel], and created a situation of tension and continuous conflict. This was stated during a meeting he held with a delegation of European parliament members yesterday morning [Feb. 10, 2016] in Ramallah.”
