PA libel: "Israeli MPs, doctors, judges and civic and political sectors" involved in "torture"
PA Minister’s speech on behalf of PM Fayyad libels Israel as committing torture:
“Minister of Prisoners’ Affairs Issa Karake, once again accused Israel of granting legitimacy to the crime of torturing Palestinian and Arab prisoners and detainees, and of sadistic behavior aimed at forcibly extracting and falsifying the detainees’ admissions, as revenge. Karake said this yesterday on behalf of the Prime Minister, Dr. Salam Fayyad, during the opening session of the International Day of Support of Victims of Torture conference. The conference was held in El-Bireh by the Center for Treatment and Rehabilitation of victims of torture, in cooperation with the UN, under the title, ‘Documentation of the Torture – Towards an Effective National Plan.’ Karake, a former prisoner, took the opportunity of drawing the attention of the international community to the participation of Israeli Members of Parliament, doctors, judges, and civic and political sectors in carrying out the criminal torture and making it legal.”
