PA daily op-ed claims that kidnappings are part of legitimate “resistance to the occupation and self-defense”

Headline: “The Israeli Parliament [Knesset] legitimizes racism.”
Op-ed by Izzat Daraghmeh, regular columnist for Al-Hayat Al-Jadida.
“The fact that the Israeli [Parliament] Knesset yesterday [July 8, 2015], Wednesday, approved, at first reading, the bill sentencing anyone who kidnaps an Israeli ‘for nationalistic reasons,’ to life [imprisonment], without this bill applying to Israelis who kidnap Palestinians, shows the extent of racism of the occupation authority and government. This is especially [true] as most of the Israeli laws were enacted to serve the goals of the occupation, and to facilitate it’s expansion and continuity, and most of them are aimed against the Palestinian people if it opposes the occupation, its actions and offensives, even though resistance to the occupation and self-defense are matters which are anchored in all international and humanitarian laws and ordinances.
