PA Mufti: “The Al- Aqsa Mosque is subject to a systematic Zionist attack to divide it according to areas and times and to destroy it in order to establish the alleged Temple on its ruins”

Headline: “Acting Secretary-General of the Popular National Conference of Jerusalem Sheikh Muhammad Hussein met the staff of the conference”
“In accordance with the regulations of the [PLO] Popular National Conference of Jerusalem, Palestinian [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas, as head of the PLO Executive Committee, issued a presidential order through which he appointed Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories and Deputy Secretary-General of the Popular National Conference of Jerusalem Sheikh Muhammad Hussein as acting Secretary-General… Based on this, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the Popular National Conference of Jerusalem with the staff of the conference, led by Sheikh Muhammad Hussein… Sheikh Muhammad Hussein… urged the staff regarding the need for unity and mutual help in order to continue the way of the conference and ward off the dangers prevailing in Jerusalem, and particularly the Al- Aqsa Mosque, which is subject to a systematic Zionist attack to divide it according to areas and times and to destroy it in order to establish the alleged Temple on its ruins.”

"Division according to areas and times" refers to a proposed law (May 2013) being reviewed in Israeli Parliament that would allow for both Jews and Muslims to pray on the Temple Mount, what the Palestinians call the Al-Aqsa Mosque plaza. The law seeks to designate separate prayer times and areas of the site for Muslims and Jews.
However, Israeli PM Netanyahu has stated on many occasions that the Israeli government has no intention of ‎changing the status quo on the Temple Mount, which means Jews are allowed to enter the Temple Mount, but cannot pray there or engage in any type of worship.
