PA official refuses to condemn shooting of Rabbi Yehuda Glick, blames Israeli government
Headline: “Rajoub: The Palestinian people will not raise the white flag”
“During an interview with [Israeli TV] Channel 2 yesterday [Oct. 30, 2014], Fatah Central Committee [Deputy Secretary and] member Jibril Rajoub refused to condemn the attempted murder of the extremist Yehuda Glick, which occurred the night before in Jerusalem.
Rajoub said: ‘I do not condemn or denounce. I am not interested in seeing anyone killed or attacked, regardless of who he is. However, what was Glick doing there?’
Rajoub added: ‘The one responsible for everything that happens in East Jerusalem, and I know that the situation is volatile and grave, is the Israeli government and its policy, and the Palestinians are suffering and paying the price, as they are under a barbaric and racist occupation. Instead of talking about who carried out this operation, we must think of the way to put an end to the suffering of the two peoples.’”
