Israel "enthusiastically imitates

everything the Nazis did to them"

Zionism based on "racism,"
"arrogance," "ghetto" mentality,

and the "Masada Complex"

This evening is Israel's annual Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day. Sadly, the Palestinian Authority continues to demonize Israel, libeling it as behaving like the Nazis in its treatment of Palestinians. In op-eds that appeared recently in the official PA daily, Israel was accused of "enthusiastically imitat[ing] everything the Nazis did to them" and Zionism was said to be based on "racism," "arrogance" and the "Masada Complex." One article also stated that Israel built its security fence not in response to Palestinian terror attacks, but because of Israel's "Jewish ghetto worldview."

Palestinian Media Watch reported that senior PA official Jibril Rajoub recently referred to Israel as "this criminal, fascist, Nazi occupation " [Official PA TV Live, Feb. 26, 2014], and he subsequently stated that Hitler "could have learned" from Israel "about the concentration camps, the extermination camps." The following are the two articles from the official PA daily and Rajoub's quote:

Op-ed by Yahya Rabah, regular columnist for Al-Hayat Al-Jadida

"The Palestinian people in Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip have been enduring suffering on a daily basis - [suffering] which has reached the level of torture, ethnic cleansing and constant aggression on the part of the Israeli occupation - an occupation that is abnormal, strange, and worse than all [other] experiences of occupation in human history. This is because the Israeli occupiers, who 'worship the gods (i.e., imitate the ways) of their enemies,' are testing everything they experienced from those who persecuted them [in the past] on the Palestinian people - [only] ten times worse. They enthusiastically imitate everything the Nazis did to them and everything others did to them, from the Babylonian Exile and up to the last thing that befell them (i.e., the Holocaust), and carry this out with hatred, racism, and in an indiscriminate way against the Palestinians! In light of this, the bare minimum the Palestinian leadership can do is sign the international conventions and agreements...

Yet behold what has happened, and the [Israeli] reaction: shock, hysterical insanity, and howls like the howls of bloodthirsty wolves."

[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, April 14, 2014]

Op-ed by Dr. As'ad Abd Al-Rahman, regular columnist for Al-Hayat Al-Jadida

"The leaders of the Zionist state, from their first prime minister, David Ben Gurion, to the present day, from the right to the left, agree that historical Palestine is 'Israel's homeland'... This [claim is] based on the fabricated biblical and Talmudic tales. All this points to an Israeli fortress mentality, which is faithful to the Zionist heritage, which is based on racism, arrogance and the lie of 'the chosen people', and based on the 'Masada complex' - a fear of recurrence of the 7 years of a Roman army siege which forced the Jewish men in the fortress to make a strange decision that no reasonable person throughout history has ever understood: to kill their women, children and elders and then commit suicide...

Israel and peace are opposites. This [Israel] is a state that surrounds itself with physical and psychological concrete walls that are ingrained in the Jewish mentality, which is based on rejection and fear of the other, and which sees the solution in expanding the construction of the fortress walls. Even the racist separation fence, in addition to being a kind of 'apartheid', recalls the tradition of the Jewish ghetto in Europe. Therefore, one can say that Israel's recourse to building the fence stems from reasons connected to the internal psychological structure of the Israeli character, which was formed in the shadow of the Jewish ghetto worldview."

Interview with PA leader Jibril Rajoub:

PA TV host:"Do you expect things to get worse?"

Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee, Jibril Rajoub: "Sir, we have nothing to lose. What's worse? Do you think we are living in Sweden and have something to lose? We are living under a racist and fascist occupation. I'm telling you, if Hitler had come [here], he would have learned from them how to oppress humans and learned from them about concentration camps, extermination camps."
