At his joint press conference with President Trump last Wednesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated:

"The Palestinians must recognize the Jewish state. They have to stop calling for Israel's destruction. They have to stop educating their people for Israel's destruction."

Indeed, far from educating its people towards a two-state solution, the Palestinian Authority leadership encourages its people to anticipate a future in which Israel no longer exists. In every context, the PA's map of "Palestine" completely erases Israel from the map.

Palestinian Media Watch has found maps of "Palestine" in school books, on honorary plaques, in ministerial offices and on sculptures in public places.

Below are several recent examples of PA leaders with such plaques:

The PA's Minister of Education Sabri Saidam poses with a school principal and students holding a decorative plate featuring the PA map of "Palestine" that erases Israel. Text on plate: "Palestine."

On photos from an event held by Fatah's Berlin branch, Fatah Central Committee member Abbas Zaki (center) and others are seen holding the PA map of "Palestine." The posted text reads: "On the first day of the political conference [held by Fatah's Berlin branch] in Germany, brother Abbas Zaki met with members of the Palestinian community in Germany."

A plaque with the map of "Palestine" was also part of a meeting between PA Minister of Finance and Planning Shukri Bishara, PA Jerusalem District Governor and Minister of Jerusalem Affairs Adnan Al-Husseini and representatives from the hospital of the Al-Makassed charitable association in Jerusalem. The Fatah Movement and the PA National Security Forces regularly post maps on their Facebook pages portraying Israel as part of "Palestine." The following are some examples:

The following two images were posted by Fatah. The first image shows the flags and names of the following countries: "Venezuela, Malaysia, Senegal, New Zealand," and underneath them appear the words "Thank you," in reference to their support of the UN Security Council resolution passed on Dec. 23, 2016, demanding an end to Israeli settlement building. The second image shows the PA map of "Palestine" in the colors of the Palestinian flag. The text under the map reads: "Palestine will triumph."

The [UN] Security Council adopted a resolution condemning the settlement by a majority of 14 votes"

The post refers to a UN Security Council resolution demanding an end to Israeli settlement building, which passed on Dec. 23, 2016, by a vote of 14-0 with one abstention. The US abstained instead of vetoing the resolution, in a breach of longstanding US policy of not allowing the UN to force conditions on Israel in place of direct negotiations. This policy change came during US President Barack Obama's final weeks in office.

An image on Fatah's Facebook page shows a boy waving two Palestinian flags, and above him is a large PA map of "Palestine." A drawing of Yasser Arafat's face is superimposed on the map.

Posted text: "Victorious over your enemies"
The image features several lines from My Homeland (Mawtini), the former Palestinian anthem.
Text on image:
"An honorable cause, and a waving flag
O, behold you, in your eminence
Victorious over your enemies"

This image posted by the PA National Security Forces shows Yasser Arafat and a Palestinian flag next to an enlarged section of the PA map of "Palestine" and text that is also roughly in the shape of this map. The image is titled: "Palestine: Returning," and underneath the text appear numerous names, including the following Israeli cities and regions, which are misrepresented as being part of "Palestine": Safed, Acre, Haifa, Nazareth, Tiberias, Jaffa, the Negev, Ramle, Lod, the Galilee, Be'er Sheva, Beit Shean and Jerusalem. The text at bottom says: "You [Arafat] are the homeland."
