PA District Governor Laila Ghannam lays wreaths at graves of terrorists responsible for Savoy terror attack

Text: “[District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh] Dr. Laila Ghannam and the [Ramallah] Security Authorit y began the holiday (Eid Al-Fitr) by laying wreaths, visiting the grave of Martyr (Shahid) Yasser Arafat, the monument of the Martyrs of the Palestinian revolution in El-Bireh, the Al-Amari refugee camp and Beitunia, the grave of the Martyrs of the Jordanian army, and the grave of the Martyrs of the Savoy operation (i.e., terror attack at the Savoy Hotel in Tel Aviv in 1975, 11 killed) in the cemetery of Ramallah, and reciting the [Quranic Sura of] Al-Fatiha for their pure souls.”

Note:Savoy terror attack- In March 1975, eight terrorists traveled by boat from Lebanon to a Tel Aviv beach. They took over the Savoy Hotel and took guests as hostages. The next morning, Israeli forces attacked and killed seven of the terrorists. Eight hostages and three soldiers were killed by the terrorists during the attack.
