American congressmen take part in "atrocious assaults" on Al-Aqsa Mosque
“Fatah Revolutionary Council member [and Secretary-General of the National Christian Coalition in the Holy Lands] Dimitri Diliani revealed that two American Congressmen had taken part in an assault on the Al-Aqsa Mosque, accompanied by extremist Chaim Richman from the ‘Temple’ Institute and five members of the extremist settler groups, [and] guarded by occupation forces. Diliani said the Congressmen were Bill Johnson from the State of Ohio, who belongs to the Republican Party, and David McKinley, of the same party, who represents the State of West Virginia.
He added that their participation in the atrocious assaults on the Mosque, and the fact that their government has not demanded that they account [for their acts] are a dangerous indication of an escalation in the conspiracies being plotted with the gangs of settlers that are striving to harm the Al-Aqsa Mosque. He also demanded that the Arab and Muslim communities, those who desire peace and those who defend rights in the areas represented by Johnson and McKinley punish them in the voting booths.”

Rabbi Chaim Richman is the director of the International Department of the Temple Institute, an Israeli organization dedicated to spreading knowledge of the Temple and encouraging the rebuilding of the Temple on the Temple Mount.
The PA considers any presence of Jews on the Temple Mount an "invasion." However, all visitors are subject to rigorous checks by Israeli security personnel before being granted access to the Temple Mount.
