PA Minister of Religious Affairs: Settlers “invaded and defiled” the Al-Aqsa Mosque

“Minister of Religious Affairs Yusuf Ida’is stated… yesterday [May 2, 2016] in a press release that… more than 1,800 settlers invaded and defiled the Al-Aqsa Mosque during April [2016], which raises the number in the last four months to 4,800 settlers.”
The PA considers any presence of Jews on the Temple Mount an "invasion." However, all visitors are subject to rigorous checks by Israeli security personnel before being granted access to the Temple Mount.
