PA UN representative: Palestinian “national struggle” does not constitute terror according to UN

“Permanent Observer of Palestine to the UN, Ambassador Riyad Mansour, gave a speech today, Thursday [May 12, 2016], on the topic of ‘the dangers threatening international peace and security due to acts of terror’ in an open meeting of the [UN] Security Council led by Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, as his country was appointed to the presidency of the council this month…
Mansour said: ‘According to the UN convention, international law, and relevant UN resolutions, the struggle of peoples under a colonialist regime and a foreign occupation to obtain their rights to self-definition and freedom, including the struggle of the Palestinian people for decades to obtain freedom and justice, does not constitute terror .’”
