“A Jordanian parliamentary delegation including 13 parliament members visited the PA Committee Against the Wall and Settlements yesterday [May 19, 2016], led by Deputy Chairman of the Jordanian Parliament Faten Khleifat… Present at the reception for the visiting delegation was Chairman of the [PA] Committee Against the Wall and Settlements Minister Walid Assaf who blessed the delegation for coming to Palestine, their second land and homeland, and added; ‘We and Jordan constitute one people in two countries.’ The parliament members listened to a filmed and detailed explanation regarding the state of [Israeli] settlement in Palestine from the Nakba (i.e., “the catastrophe,” Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel) in 1948 until now and the manner of settlement building, the building of the fence, and the division of areas administratively, and in regard to security.”
