PA government official “emphasize[s] the leadership’s adherence to following the path of the Martyrs”

“Head of the General Intelligence Services Majed Faraj met yesterday with the heads of the official and civilian [Palestinian] institutions, public figures, and the district’s forces in the [Intelligence] Service’s headquarters in Jenin, and listened to their demands and the suffering of the citizens in all areas of life… Faraj emphasized the leadership’s adherence to the legal and unwavering rights and to following the path of the Martyrs (Shahids) and the movement of the prisoners, who have made sacrifices for Palestine and its freedom, and emphasized that it is a national and religious obligation.”

Majed Faraj was strongly criticized by Palestinians for saying that the PA thwarted many attacks against Israel.
