Head of Supreme Muslim Council: Jewish rabbis "encourage settlers to "poison the drinking water in Palestinian cities and villages"
Headline: “[Head of the Supreme Muslim Council in Jerusalem] Sheikh [Ikrima] Sabri: The Jewish rabbis are more racist than the politicians”
“[Head of the Supreme Muslim Council in Jerusalem and former PA Head Mufti] Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, the preacher of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, responded to the publication of the extreme Jewish religious ruling by someone who is termed the ‘head of the Council of Settlements’ (Ed. note: previous false Palestinian reports called this fictitious body ‘the Council of Settlement Rabbis’), which encourages settlers to poison the drinking water in Palestinian cities and villages throughout the West Bank with the goal of expelling the Palestinian citizens from their homes and from their lands.
He said: ‘This is not the first racist religious ruling, and religious rulings of other rabbis preceded it in which they permitted stealing from the Arab citizens, seizing their property, and destroying the olive crops of the Palestinians (sic., like the poisoning libel these claims are likewise false).’
Sheikh Ikrima wondered: ‘Does the real Jewish religion say this?’
He noted that the Jewish rabbis have crossed all the red lines, as they… publish foolish religious legal writings without any supervision that have no connection to the Jewish religion. [He noted] that the Jewish rabbis have surpassed the Israeli politicians in their racism and their acts of terror.
Dr. Ikrima responded to all this: ‘Is there room for dialogue or discussion with people like this?’”
