"[PA] Government Spokesman Yusuf Al-Mahmoud warned yesterday [June 27, 2016] of the consequences of the occupation's (i.e., Israel’s) ongoing aggression against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and those praying there during these blessed days of the month of Ramadan.
Al-Mahmoud said: 'The aggression against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and injury of those praying there is part of the occupation government's plans to target all areas of the State of Palestine and our people, and in particular the holy sites and religious symbols.'
He emphasized: 'The Al-Aqsa Mosque, everything within its walls, and everything attached to it from outside, is an Islamic mosque that belongs to the Palestinians who reside in the land and to all Arabs and Muslims according to the historical facts, the natural situation, and the international consensus.'"
