This week, Palestinian Authority and Fatah officials made yet another show of support for terrorists and murderers by celebrating the release from prison of a terrorist who participated in the murder of 16-year-old Israeli Ofir Rahum in 2001.

The release of terrorist Abd Al-Fattah Doleh, who finished serving his 12-year prison sentence, was viewed as cause for celebration by many officials, including District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh Laila Ghannam, Beitunia Mayor Ribhi Dawla, Fatah Central Committee member Sultan Abu Al-Einein, and Director of the PLO Commission of Prisoners' Affairs Issa Karake.

On Jan. 17, 2001, terrorist Abd Al-Fattah Doleh, a member of the Tanzim, Fatah's terror faction, participated in the kidnapping and murder of 16-year-old Israeli Ofir Rahum. Female terrorist Amna Muna met Rahum in an Internet chat room and engaged him in an online romance that culminated in his agreeing to meet her. She drove him to Ramallah, where they were met by Doleh and another accomplice, Hassan Alkadi, who shot Rahum to death.

Terrorist Doleh was released from prison last Thursday. The Beitunia municipality and Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah Movement held a "national rally" in his honor. PA official and Mayor of Beitunia Ribhi Dawla "emphasized that the prisoners are the symbol of liberation and getting rid of the occupation." He also expressed the PA's support for terrorists who murder and injure Israelis, and who are killed in the process - the so-called "Martyrs" - stating that "the city of Beitunia, the city of Martyrs and prisoners, will remain loyal to the path of the Martyrs." One such Palestinian "Martyr" whose path the PA official pledged to follow is Muhammad Taraireh, who this week stabbed a 13-year-old American Israeli girl to death in her bed. Palestinian Media Watch reported that Abbas' Fatah Movement was quick to call him a "Martyr."

The PA and Fatah's show of support for murder comes as no surprise. Abbas' advisor, Sultan Abu Al-Einein, who participated in the rally glorifying Doleh, recently encouraged Palestinians: "Every place you find an Israeli - cut off his head"

District Governor of Ramallah Laila Ghannam also glorifies and supports terrorists as policy, as does the Director of the PLO Commission of Prisoners, Issa Karake.

Fatah has also glorified Ofir Rahum's killers before. Last year, on International Women's Day, Abbas' movement praised Amna Muna, who lured Ofir Rahum to his muder as “O glorious one.”

The following is the report on the mass rally held in honor of Doleh, one of the accomplices to the murder of 16-year-old Ofir Rahum

Headline: "Beitunia welcomed released [prisoner Abd Al-Fattah] Doleh after 12 years in jail"

"Figures from the city of Beitunia, from the [Ramallah] district, and from the Fatah Movement welcomed released [prisoner] Abd Al-Fattah Doleh, who served 12 years in the occupation's (i.e., Israel's) prisons, after having been expelled for four years. First everyone faced the grave of Martyr (Shahid) Yasser Arafat, where the released prisoner placed a wreath of flowers on the grave in the presence of District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh Laila Ghannam, Beitunia Mayor Ribhi Dawla, and a group of official figures, public figures, and members of the Fatah branch in the district...

The Beitunia municipality and Fatah held a mass rally, which was attended by [Fatah] Central Committee member Sultan Abu Al-Einein, Prisoners' Club Chairman Qadura Fares, Director of PLO Commission of Prisoners' Affairs Issa Karake, and a large gathering of Beitunia residents and friends of the prisoner from a number of districts. The released prisoner emphasized that the prisoners represent the loyalty to the Palestinian cause and its foundational principles, and noted that public unification around them and around their families is important for their release and emptying the prisons...
Doleh thanked all those who welcomed him at this national rally, and emphasized the continuation of the path of struggle until achieving all of our rights and basic principles, and primarily the establishment of our independent state with full sovereignty and its capital of Jerusalem.

Beitunia Mayor Ribhi Dawla emphasized that the prisoners are the symbol of liberation and getting rid of the occupation, and noted that the city of Beitunia, the city of Martyrs and prisoners, will remain loyal to the path of the Martyrs. Likewise, he emphasized that the freedom of all the prisoners is our compass and Jerusalem is our eternal capital, and he blessed all the prisoners and the relatives of prisoner Abd Al-Fattah [Doleh] on his release after serving 12 years in the occupation's prisons."
