Israel revokes entry to PA district governor of Hebron after he visited families of "Martyrs"

Headline: “Hebron District Governor [Kamel Hamid]: I have no privileges that the occupation (i.e., Israel) can take away”
“The Hebron district governor said that he has no privileges that the occupation (i.e., Israel) can take away.  [Hebron] District Governor Kamel Hamid added in a short interview with a Ma’an journalist in Hebron: ‘I have no privileges from the other side (i.e., Israel), and if it means that they will not let me enter Israel, I have nothing at all to do there.’ The occupation authorities decided to revoke the privileges given to the Hebron district governor and prevented him from entering Israel due to the visit he paid to Martyrs’ (Shahids’) families in Bani Na’im. The district governor emphasized that the occupation government is what is creating and strengthening the incitement, and held the occupation government fully responsible for the events and their consequences in the Hebron district.”

Two recent terror attacks were carried out by residents of Bani Na’im:

Muhammad Taraireh – 17-year-old Palestinian terrorist, who stabbed and murdered 13-year-old American Israeli Hallel Yaffa Ariel, as she slept in her bed, in her home in Kiryat Arba near Hebron, on June 30, 2016. Taraireh also injured one of the Israeli security personnel before he was shot and killed.

Sara Taraireh – 27-year-old Palestinian terrorist who tried to stab an Israeli border policewoman on July 1, 2016, at one of the entrances to the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron. Taraireh was shot and killed by an Israeli soldier during her attack. Taraireh is a relative of 17-year-old terrorist Muhammad Taraireh, who a day earlier, June 30, 2016, murdered 13-year-old American Israeli Hallel Yaffa Ariel in Kiryat Arba, near Hebron.
