PLO org claims Israel is intentionally causing retardation in Palestinians through inbreeding
Official PA TV program Good Morning Jerusalem interview with Khalil Al-Tafakji, mapping director of the PLO-affiliated Orient House research institution in Jerusalem, marking ten years since the International Criminal Court ruling against the West Bank security fence
Orient House Mapping Director Khalil Al-Tafakji: “The Israeli side is freezing the unification of families every year (i.e., tightening the granting of residency status to Arab West Bank residents who marry Arab residents of Jerusalem), and therefore marriages are within the family, which is to say that in another hundred years we will have a generation with retardation spring up, and that is the future that the Israeli side is planning for us.”
Official PA TV News report on the West Bank security fence
Orient House Mapping Director Khalil Al-Tafakji: “Through a preservation of the Jerusalem identity card (i.e., Arab residents of Jerusalem not wanting to risk losing Israeli residency status by marrying Arab West Bank residents), and due to the difficulty in receiving a permit for family unification (i.e., difficulty of Arab West Bank residents in receiving residency status by marrying an Arab resident of Jerusalem), this will lead in the end, I’m talking about in a generation or two, not tomorrow – they [Palestinians] will start marriages within the family, and in this way we will have a generation with retardation spring up in the future, and I think that to a great extent the Israeli side took this into account.”
