Fatah demands that UN delegate retract statement referring to Palestinian terror as impediment to peace
Headline: “Fatah condemns Mladenov’s statements”
“The Fatah Movement, through its spokesman Osama Al-Qawasmi, condemned the statements of UN delegate [UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process] Nickolay Mladenov regarding the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, in which he considered what he called Palestinian ‘terror’ to be one of the main reasons preventing the return to negotiations.
Al-Qawasmi said in a notice yesterday [July 14, 2016] that the statements are baseless, and that the real violence which Mladenov ignores is in the ongoing Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.
Al-Qawasmi said to Mladenov and the entire world that the Palestinian people is struggling for freedom and independence like the rest of the world’s peoples who have faced occupation, racism, injustice, oppression, and torture…
Al-Qawasmi demanded that Mladenov retract his statements, as the comparison between the hangman and the victim constitutes a great injustice to the Palestinian people and complete bias in favor the occupation, and this does not serve the international efforts and the attempts to implement international law.”
