Supreme Muslim Council official warns of "Israeli plots to Judaize the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque"
Headline: "The occupation bans Tayseer Al-Tamimi from entering Jerusalem"
"The occupation authorities yesterday [Aug. 17, 2016] banned [former] Supreme Shari’ah Judge and Secretary of [the independent organization] the Supreme Muslim Council Tayseer Al-Tamimi from entering Jerusalem to participate in the meeting of the Supreme Islamic Council, which was set for yesterday afternoon at its seat at the Chain Gate (i.e., one of the gates to the Temple Mount). This was in order to discuss the ramifications of the invasions of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the Judaization of the curricula in the schools of Arab Jerusalem.
In response to this step, Al-Tamimi said that it came as part of the Judaization of the holy city and the effort to silence any voice that reveals the Israeli plots to Judaize the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. He promised to continue to protect it and the identity of the holy city and its holy sites.
Al-Tamimi emphasized that occupied Jerusalem is an Islamic Arab city, and that the Jewish presence in it is temporary as it is based on theft by brute force. He added that the occupation will definitely pass in the end, just as all the occupations [of Jerusalem] have passed throughout history. Likewise he warned of the Jewish plots to Judaize it and take control of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which constitutes a part of the faith of every Muslim. [Al-Tamimi noted] that this is a mosque that belongs only to the Muslims, with all its plazas, foundations, gates, domes, and components, and that the Jews have no connection to it."
The PA and its leaders misrepresent all of the Temple Mount as an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore they vilify any presence of Jews on the mount as an “invasion” or a "break-in." It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock. Israeli police ban Jewish prayer at the Temple Mount because of threats of violence by Palestinians.
