Secretary of the PLO National Committee for Education, Culture and Science and Chairman of the Palestinian Writers’ Union Murad Al-Sudani: “The budget allocated by the occupation’s Ministry of Education to the Arab sector in Palestine that was occupied in 1948 (i.e., Israel) is 10 or 20 times more than the budget of the Palestinian Ministry of Culture. They (i.e., Israel) understand the importance of culture, and they are trying to change the Palestinian awareness and erase it (i.e., Palestinian culture).”
