PA Prime Minister: US does not give money directly to the PA

PA Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah: “America paid this year [2015] – once it would pay a billion [dollars], or 1.2 billion [dollars]. This year, in 2015, they decided on 250 million dollars to fund projects, part of it to fund the oil field. They do not give anything directly to the [PA Ministry of] Finance. They do not give to the [Ministry of] Finance, even the oil money they pay directly to the Israeli companies. They assist the hospitals in Jerusalem, and they pay directly to the hospitals. They do not pay the [Ministry of] Finance. They transferred 250 million [dollars] last year [2015]. As for 2016, they have not approved a single cent or dollar.”
The interview was broadcast on Aug. 27, 2016, on official PA TV as well as Ma'an TV, an independent Palestinian channel.
