Fatah-run Awdah TV program Personal Encounter, hosting Chairman of the PA Committee to Resist Settlements and the Wall Walid Assaf
Chairman of the PA Committee to Resist Settlements and the Wall Walid Assaf: “After the popular uprising (Palestinian euphemism for several months of Palestinian terror attacks against Israelis 2015 - 2016 -Ed.) that began at the beginning of last year (sic., it began in Sept. 2015) and continued until the first quarter of this year [2016], most of the public participated in this uprising and came out in a very strong manner. This was one of the waves of the popular uprising, and is also not the end of the waves; the waves will continue as long as the occupation continues. The Palestinian people will continue its struggle and its resistance.”
Palestinian terror wave (2015-2016) – Palestinian violence and terror attacks against Israelis, including stabbings, shootings, throwing Molotov cocktails, and car rammings. It started in September 2015 and as of July 2016, 40 people were killed (36 Israelis, 1 Palestinian, 2 Americans, and 1 foreign worker from Eritrea) and over 500 wounded.
