Abbas' office mourns terrorist and prays that Allah "wrap the Martyr in his great mercy and let him dwell in Paradise;" PA accuses Israel of "medical negligence" in death

The presidential office emphasized that peace will not be achieved unless the prisons are emptied of all our prisoners and detainees, and especially the sick, senior, and elderly prisoners. The presidential office conveyed warm condolences over the death as a Martyr of prisoner Hamdouni to the Martyr’s family and to the Palestinian people. It prayed to Almighty Allah that He wrap the Martyr in his great mercy and let him dwell in Paradise…

Yasser Dhiab Hamdouni was serving a life sentence for participating in the murder of Israeli citizen Avner Maimon in the Palestinian town of Ya'abad in the West Bank (June 12, 2003). Hamdouni, a member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades (Fatah’s military wing), died on Sept. 25, 2016 after collapsing while exercising in the Israeli Rimon Prison yard.
