Fatah official calls on Palestinians and Israeli Arabs to come to the Al-Aqsa Mosque and carry out Ribat there because of Israeli “invasions” on Jewish holidays
Headline: "Alayan: The occupation is carrying out a policy of ethnic cleansing in Jerusalem"
“Official Fatah Spokesman in occupied Jerusalem Raafat Alayan… called on the Palestinian people in general, and the people of the holy city (i.e., Jerusalem) and our people in the '48 territories (i.e., PA term for Israel) in particular, to visit the Al-Aqsa Mosque and carry out Ribat (i.e., religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic) from the beginning of next week (i.e., the first week of October 2016), in the shadow of the occupation's threats to carry out widespread invasions of the [Al-Aqsa] Mosque as part of what they call their holidays (i.e., Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year) that are expected to occur at the beginning of next week.
Likewise, he emphasized that the presence and the Ribat at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its plaza are the highest and bravest form of struggle at this time.
Alayan concluded with a blessing and praise of the people of the holy city who stand firm and carry out Ribat in their city despite the Israeli steps that strive to expel them."
The PA and its leaders consider all of the Temple Mount an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore they view any presence of Jews on the mount as an "invasion." It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock.
