PA Islamic-Christian Council denounces terror as a severe problem rooted in sin
Headline: “The Islamic-Christian Council: Terror is a global ideology that has no religion”
“The [PA] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places said that terror is one of the most severe problems of the current century, alongside the wars and starvation in the world.
The council emphasized the opposition of the three monotheistic religions to terror in all its types, colors, and forms, because it is directed against innocent men, women, and children, and is based on sin, aggression, and intimidation of calm people…
These statements were made as part of a workshop under the headline 'The Monotheistic Religions and the Denunciation of Terror,' which the council organized yesterday [Sept. 28, 2016] in the [PLO] Popular National Conference of Jerusalem building in El-Bireh, with the participation of Head of the Islamic-Christian Council Patriarch Michel Sabbah, its (i.e., the council’s) Secretary-General Dr. Hanna Issa, Director-General of the Directorate of Religion (i.e., branch of the PA Ministry of Religious Affairs) in the Ramallah and El-Bireh District Sheikh Wafiq Alawi, and Secretary of the Samaritan Community Ishaq Al-Samiri.”
