“The top members of the media and editors-in-chief of the Palestinian newspapers and media outlets convened in a meeting regarding the decision of the Arab information ministers to declare occupied Jerusalem, the capital of the State of Palestine, as the capital of Arab media, at the invitation of the [PA] Ministry of Information which was responsible for organizing the activities of the event… The [PA] Ministry of Information, the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation, the Palestinian news agency WAFA, and the newspaper Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, as institutions of the official media of the State of Palestine, did all that was required of them in order to cooperate so that these activities would succeed and take place, as did the local radio stations and journalistic institutions.”
