Headline: “Dr. Bahar calls on the [PA] Security Forces in the West Bank to follow the path of Martyr Turkeman”
“First Deputy Chairman of the PA Parliament (Legislative Council) Dr. Ahmad Bahar (of Hamas -Ed.) called on members and officers of the [PA] Security Forces in the West Bank to adopt the doctrine of resistance and follow the path of their colleague, Martyr (Shahid) Muhammad Turkeman (i.e., terrorist, wounded 3). This was during a telephone conversation that Bahar held with relatives of Martyr Muhammad Turkeman, hero of the operation at the DCO (i.e., District Coordination Offices of the Israeli Civil Administration) checkpoint near Ramallah, in which he welcomed his death as a Martyr.
Bahar said: ‘Turkeman’s operation is one of the most outstanding operations since the outbreak of the Jerusalem Intifada (Palestinian euphemism for several months of Palestinian terror attacks against Israelis 2015 - 2016 -Ed.), [and one of] the deadliest (sic., no one was killed in the attack other than Turkeman) and most painful [operations] for the occupation.’ He commended the operation and its influence on Israeli society…
Likewise he emphasized that the acts of heroism of members of the resistance and the increase of the resistance in the West Bank will force the Israeli occupation and the settlers to retreat from the West Bank and evacuate the settlements, as happened in the Gaza Strip. He called on the resistance factions in the West Bank to increase their military operations against the occupation.”
Muhammad Turkeman – Palestinian Authority police officer who carried out a shooting attack on Oct. 31, 2016, at a checkpoint near Beit El, at the entrance to Ramallah. Using a Kalashnikov assault rifle, Turkeman shot and wounded 3 Israeli soldiers before being shot and killed by other Israeli soldiers.
Palestinian terror wave (2015-2016) – Palestinian violence and terror attacks against Israelis, including stabbings, shootings, throwing Molotov cocktails, and car rammings. It started in September 2015 and as of July 2016, 40 people were killed (36 Israelis, 1 Palestinian, 2 Americans, and 1 foreign worker from Eritrea) and over 500 wounded.
